I THROW MY PLATES AGAINST THE WALL AND GIVE IT ALL I'VE GOT

Lily is a wildfire, a firecracker, a firebrand, anything involving fire because she has red hair, etc etc. She's so much more than that, though. While she has the deep all-consuming fire in her, a need for justice and what's right and what's good, that's not all. She can be vicious and spiteful and full of wrath, but she can also be full of gentle kindness and sweet softness. It depends on who you are and what the situation is. She's definitely multifaceted.

There's something to be said for the AU changing her slightly - she's sharper around the edges, just a little, than her canon self. Mostly from self-preservation, it's important for her to be able to make it in a world that's out to get her at every turn. She's protective of her friends but she's more willing to protect herself too. There's less of a martyr complex happening in her because even more than in canon she's had to claw her way up from the very bottom, grasping for every crumb she's gathered for herself. She can't stand people that were born with a silver spoon in their mouths that lord it over people or even don't know how good they have it.

She's a workaholic to a fault, pushing herself ever harder to shove the looks and "you're so brilliant for a Muggle-born!" comments back in people's faces. Magic is her one true passion and she's going to use it until the day she dies to make sure that everyone knows she's twice the witch any of them could even hope to be. It rolls back to spite, but it's an important facet of her personality. Proving everyone wrong about Muggleborns is a driving force in her.

Finding out from Severus Snape at 10 that the strange happenings around her meant she was a witch made her so happy she could burst, but she couldn't imagine that by the time she went to Hogwarts, she'd have to register as a Muggle-born and follow a strict curfew once she left Hogwarts. Still, Hogwarts was wonderful. She flung herself into her classes wholeheartedly and taught herself how to harness her open and wild wandless magic into the more refined (and collared) use of wands. She was popular despite her blood status, and made plenty of fast friends even if she made just as many enemies.

After trying out dating and failing to see it as a priority, Lily threw herself into her work instead. After graduation the harshness of the real world hit her full on and it took all her time and energy to get everything she needed to start up her shop and get it on the map. Endless paperwork and red tape later, Lily is the proprietor of Auturgy and runs it daily, keeping herself well-known in potioneering circles by publishing articles and reworking the recipes that are published by her peers.

It's a rough living but it's a living nonetheless and she keeps on with it, visiting her parents whenever she can close her shop (usually holidays) or get someone she trusts to look after it for her. It doesn't happen often, which she regrets as her parents are getting up there in years and won't be around forever. She's just so hyper-focused on work that she doesn't know what else to do with herself.

• Wandless magic: Lily started out teaching herself wandlessly, so her strong point is still wandless magic and she has impeccable control over it.
• Nonverbal magic: Along with wandless magic, Lily doesn't have to speak incantations to cast magic.
• Potions: Her potion brewing is second to almost none - Severus Snape is better than her, but no one is better than him at it. Still, she's one of the best in the field.
• Charms/Transfiguration: She was able to create living fish from flower petals that survived until the night of her death in canon.

• Divination: Absolute rubbish. Can't stand it, can't do it.
• Legilimency/Occlumency: Passable but not godmode.
